For the 2011 edition of the historic "Mille Miglia" tribute, the Alfa Romeo Historic Motoring team will be lining up three official Museum vehicles which, in accordance with the regulations, took part in the Mille Miglia race, held from 1927 to 1957, and which saw Alfa vehicles triumph some eleven times: a record which remains unbeaten.

From 1928 to 1947, the Mille Miglia was one of the great classic competitions in which Alfa Romeo dominated, while in the 1950s, the brand collected a whole series of prestigious victories, just as important as they were achieved by vehicles in mass production, thus demonstrating the excellence of the brand's products.

The Alfa Romeo Historic Motoring team will line up the 6C 1500 Super Sport, the "oldest" model, entrusted to the Moceri-Labate crew and identical to the model which Campari and Ramponi won the great Brescia race in 1928. The second vehicle to be entered in the race is a 6C 1750 Gran Sport from 1930, driven by Salvinelli-De Marco, a model which became legendary through the Mille Miglia: it was in a similar 1750 that Nuvolari and Guidotti won in 1930, the edition in which the driver from Mantua achieved a record of 100 km/h average speed over the whole race and the contrast with Varzi, also driving an Alfa Romeo 1750, became the leitmotif for the race. Finally, a 1900 Super Sprint from 1956 completes the official vehicles group: two journalists will drive this coupé with a body of a Touring car, typical of the 1900s, the "sports saloon which wins the races", prestigious gran turismo in the 1950s, and top of the Alfa Romeo range at the time.

The official historic vehicles from the Alfa Romeo History Museum will be accompanied by a fleet of six Alfa Romeo Giulietta, a true concentration of performance, comfort and safety as demonstrated by the spectacular 1.4 MultiAir Turbo Petrol - winner of the "Best New Engine of the Year 2010" award by the International Engine of the Year committee - to which is added the 140 HP 2.0 JTDM-2 which completes the turbodiesel range. The Giulietta is also a functional car that offers roomy interiors and superior comfort with 5 comfortable seats, in addition to being the safest compact car according to Euro NCAP (5-star 2010 rating with an overall score of 87/100) with a focus on minimising running costs, as demonstrated by the 35,000 km servicing intervals for diesel engines.

-   Op het Salon van Genève zorgde Alfa Romeo voor dè verrassing met de voorstelling van de Alfa Romeo 4C Concept. De technische kenmerken van deze 2-zits sportcoupé zijn bepaald indrukwekkend : een grotendeels uit koolstofvezel opgebouwd koetswerk met een aluminium onderstel ontworpen in samenwerking met Dallara (gekend van de KTM X-Bow), een gewicht van 850 kg, een centraal geplaatste 200-pk sterke versie van de viercilinder
1750 TB uit de Giulietta Quadrifoglio Verde, TCT-versnellingsbak met dubbele koppeling, voorwielophanging met twee boven elkaar geplaatste wishbones en McPherson-achterwielophanging en … achterwielaandrijving !
Voor de vormgeving is duidelijk gekeken naar de 33 Stradale en de 8C Competizione en de prestaties mogen er ook zijn : een top van 250km/u en een acceleratietijd van 0 tot 100 km/u in minder dan 5 seconden. En het beste nieuws vernamen we uit de mond van Wim Willlems, PR-verantwoordelijke voor Alfa die ons verzekerde dat de Alfa 4C vanaf september 2012 in productie gaat (20.000 stuks per jaar, ook aangeboden op de Amerikaanse markt) voor een aangekondigde prijs van 45.000 EUR.  

- Lors du dernier Salon de Genève, Alfa Romeo créa la plus grande surprise en présentant
l'Alfa Romeo 4C Concept. Les caractéristiques techniques de ce coupé sport 2 places sont franchement impressionantes : une carrosserie en fibre de carbone pour la majeure partie, un chassis en aluminium développé en collaboration avec Dallara (bien connu pour son travail de développement de la KTM X-Bow), un poids maximum de 850 kg, une version 200ch, en position centrale, du moteur à quatre cylindres 1750 TB de la Giulietta Quadrifoglio Verde, boîte de vitesses TCT et double embrayage, suspension AV avec deux triangles superposés et suspension AR du type McPherson et … la propulsion arrière !
La ligne s'inspire incontestablement de celle de la 33 Stradale et de la 8C Competizione et les prestations sont de toute première classe : vitesse maxi de 250km/h et moins de 5 secondes pour l'accélération de 0 à 100 km/h. Mais la meilleure nouvelle est celle qui nous à été donnée par Wim Willlems, responsable PR d'Alfa, qui nous a confirmé que l'Alfa 4C sera produite à partir de septembre 2012 (20.000 exemplaires par an, offerte également sur le marché américain) pour un prix annoncé de 45.000 EUR.  

-   Precies 60 jaar geleden, in 1951, behaalde Juan Manuel Fangio de titel van Wereldkampioen F1, na een reeks overwinningen en ereplaatsen aan het stuur van de beroemde Alfetta 159.
De Alfa Romeo Club Quadrifoglio Belgio zal later dit jaar nog bijzondere aandacht besteden aan deze verjaardag.

- Il y a exactement 60 ans, plus précisément en 1951, Juan Manuel Fangio obtint le titre de Champion du Monde F1, après une série de victoires et de podiums obtenus au volant de la célèbre Alfetta 159.
Au courant de cette année-ci, le Club Alfa Romeo Quadrifoglio Belgio organisera une commémoration spéciale afin de fêter cet anniversaire.

De Alfa Romeo MiTo 1.4 MultiAir met 135 pk turbomotor is nu uitgerust met de Alfa TCT versnellingsbak met dubbele koppeling.
L'Alfa Romeo MiTo 1.4 MultiAir équipée du moteur turbo de 135 ch est maintenant disponible avec une boîte de vitesses du type TCT à double embrayage.

Depuis sa présentation, le dernier modèle qui est venu enrichir la gamme Alfa Romeo a déjà obtenu un certain nombre de prix prestigieux, parmi lesquels le prix "Novita dell'Anno" accordé par les lecteurs de Quattroruote, 5 étoiles Euro-NCAP, le prix Best New Engine 2010 et le prix Auto Europa 2011.

- Het gerucht doet de ronde dat Alfa romeo in 2011 met een nieuwe "Matta" op de Amerikaanse markt zal komen; het zou gaan om een Wrangler 3/5 deurs met onder de motorkap een door fiat onder handen genomen Chrysler Pentastar 3.4 liter v6 benzine of de 3 liter Hp Iveco diesel. De grille van deze Alfa Jeep zou een exacte kopie zijn van de Alfa Matta uit de jaren vijftig.

- Selon les bruits qui circulent , Alfa romeo présentera en 2011 une nouvelle "Matta" sur le marché Americain. cette 4x4 serait équipé d'un moteur Chrysler Pentastar V6 3.4 litre essence ou d'un moteur diesel Iveco 3 litres. Le grille de cette alfa Jeep serait une copie exacte de la Matta produite par Alfa dans les années 50.

-   Onlangs werd in Italië een nieuwe Alfa-club opgericht (Alfa Romeo Club Milano) die de steun krijgt van een aantal huidige of vroegere medewerkers van Alfa Romeo, zoals Fiorenzo Busso, zoon van Giuseppe Busso, Enrico Sala (topverantwoordelijke verkoop Italië), Italo Rosa (personeelsdirecteur Alfa Nord), Elvira Ruocco, Domenico Magro (directeur van het Museo Storico) en Pasquale Olivieri.
